supports our ongoing mission and vision
Compelled by a vision of a religious community, men and women under one banner and
modeled after the Holy Family, Blessed Basil Anthony Moreau, C.S.C. established the Associates of St. Joseph in 1836. The Associates of St. Joseph aligned themselves to Fr. Moreau’s vision through daily prayer, an annual retreat, and a financial commitment, contributing the resources Fr. Moreau needed to propel his vision forward, ultimately resulting in the Congregation of Holy Cross.
Fr. Moreau’s invitation to the Associates of St. Joseph over 171 years ago is embodied today in the Societies of Holy Cross, an Annual Giving program inviting those who share in Holy Cross’ mission of proclaiming the Kingdom of God, and who are called to action in prayer and in financial support of our ministries.
As Blessed Basil Moreau invited the Associates of St. Joseph to profoundly change the world, so to do the Priests of Holy Cross, Indiana Province extend the invitation to you to become a member of the Societies of Holy Cross, keeping the tradition of Christ-focused service

Holy Cross Giving Societies offer membership at the following levels:
Our Lady of Sorrows Circle - $10,000 and beyond
Our Lady of Sorrows is the beloved patroness of the Congregation of Holy Cross
Ave Crux Spes Unica Society - $5,000 to $9,999
Hail the cross, our only hope, was the motto of Blessed Basil Anthony Moreau that exist today as part of the charism of
Holy Cross.
Anchor Society - $1,000 to $4,999
The emblem of the Congregation of Holy Cross combines an anchor, an early church symbol of hope, and the cross.
The emblem symbolizes our faith deeply, rooted in Jesus, hoped perfected.
Moreau Society - $500 - $999
The Moreau Society honors the legacy of Fr. Moreau as founder of the Congregation of Holy Cross. On September 15,
2007, Fr. Moreau was beatified in LeMans, France, the birthplace of the Congregation.
